1. Booking & Payment

A deposit of 30% of the total trek cost is required to secure your booking. The final balance is due 60 days before the start of your trek. Bookings made within 60 days of the departure date must be paid in full at the time of booking. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the cancellation of your booking.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit.
  • 31-60 days before departure: 50% of the total cost.
  • 30 days or less before departure: 100% of the total cost.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

3. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. Your insurance must cover high-altitude trekking (up to 6,000 meters), medical expenses, and emergency evacuation. You will be required to provide proof of your insurance policy before the start of your trek.

4. Itinerary Changes

While we will do our utmost to adhere to the advertised itinerary, we reserve the right to make changes for reasons of safety, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control. Your guide will have the final say on any changes to the itinerary on the mountain.

5. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for choosing a trek that is within their physical capabilities. You are also responsible for bringing the appropriate gear and clothing. We reserve the right to deny participation to any client who is deemed medically unfit or who lacks the proper equipment.

6. Limitation of Liability

Trekking at high altitudes is an inherently risky activity. Team Raha Kilimanjaro, its employees, and its partners will not be held liable for any injury, illness, death, or loss of property that may occur during the trek. By booking a trip with us, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
